Every map app will happily show you a gas station, a nail salon and a pizza place in the same list. We do not. To Go Pizza is a pizza directory — 9,027 pizzerias across the United States, and not one of anything else.
A pizzeria can pay for a featured spot at the top of the results. When one does, its card is edged in gold, carries a band across the top reading Featured, and says in plain words that the pizzeria pays for the position. We would rather sell the spot and label it than sell it and hide it, which is what most directories do.
Everything underneath is untouched. Every other pizzeria we have found in range is there, in the same order it always was, and no amount of money moves one of them past another. Nothing that is paid for touches a rating, a review or a score — those come from customers and from Google, and there is no price on either. A featured pizzeria with two stars still shows two stars.
Claiming your listing is free. Correcting it is free. Answering your reviews is free. The paid items are the shop window — your menu, your offers, your photographs, and the spot at the top — and every one of them is marked as what it is.
One switch hides every national chain. It is the thing this site is for: plenty of people already know where the nearest Domino's is and would rather find the place two streets away that nobody has told them about.
To Go Pizza is built and run by a pizza lover from Houston, Texas — hand coded, not assembled from a template. If something on the site is wrong, a person reads the message, and that person is the one who built it. Write to us.
Addresses, phone numbers, opening hours and star ratings come from each business's Google listing. Menus, offers and replies to reviews come from the owner, once they have claimed the listing and we have rung the number on it. Slice ratings come from members of this site and nowhere else — here is exactly how they work.
